2 New pics

Hello everybody! (Isn't that what the quack doctor in the Simpson's used to say?)

The first pic is of a pink short leg cast. Nice beefy toes. The cool thing about this cast is the toeplate. That is the support that is extends out under the toes. Don't usually see too many of those. What is the pupose of a toeplate? Well this is what wikipedia tells me:

The sole of a leg cast may also be extended to the tip of the toes, if
providing a toeplate. This addition may be made to offer support to and
stabilize the metatarsals and to protect the toes from additional trauma.
This is a common treatment for a broken foot. Toeplates are infrequently
used in the USA, and are more common in continental Europe.


This next pic is a standard short leg cast, hot pink again. Don't the toes just look scrumptuous? I just love how they are in a relaxed position...
